Covered Aerated Static Pile Composting (CASP)
CASP (Covered Aerated Static Pile) is a proven composting method that delivers high-efficiency organic waste processing with minimal environmental impact. The system combines a breathable membrane cover with an aerated floor to optimize oxygen flow, manage moisture, and reduce emissions. At the core of CASP systems are our advanced membrane laminates, which help regulate temperature, retain heat, and prevent odors, resulting in faster composting cycles and enhanced pathogen reduction.
Our Stedair® Compost Covers are engineered for long-term durability, UV resistance, and consistent performance in the harsh conditions of composting environments. Ideal for municipalities, farms, and commercial composters, CASP systems support compliance with environmental regulations while increasing throughput and improving end-product quality.
Micropore compost covers are specifically developed for use in aerated static pile (ASP) systems, offering the right porosity range (7–12 cfm/yd² on average) to match the oxygen demand of various organic feedstocks. Stedair® Covers also help maintain optimal conditions within the pile, ensuring effective temperature and moisture control during the active composting phase.
