Stedair® Breathable Barriers

Stedair® Breathable Barriers

Setting the Standard in Chemical and Flame Protection for Oil & Gas Rainwear

At Stedfast, we lead the way in chemical protective barrier innovation, using advanced technology to deliver optimal protection without sacrificing comfort. Our Stedair® membrane, built with bi-component technology, provides high moisture vapor transmission (breathability) while maintaining exceptional hydrostatic resistance (waterproofness)—offering superior protection and comfort.

Engineered specifically for rainwear applications in the oil and gas industry, our chemical protective materials offer reliable defense against a broad spectrum of Toxic Industrial Chemicals (TICs), solvents, and other hazardous substances. They comply with stringent safety standards, including NFPA 2112 (Flame-Resistant Garments for Protection Against Flash Fire), NFPA 1992 (Liquid-Splash Protective Clothing for Hazardous Materials Emergencies)

In addition to chemical protection, our rainwear barriers are designed to withstand arc flash and flash fire hazards. With certified NFPA 2112 flash fire protection, NFPA 70E Level 2 arc flash resistance, and ASTM F2733 flame resistance, Stedfast rainwear solutions perform under extreme conditions, ensuring workers stay safe, dry, and operational in high-risk environments.

Stedfast’s chemical barriers are purpose-built for rainwear used in hazardous industrial environments. Our Stedair® laminate integrates a breathable, moisture vapor-permeable system constructed with a polyester face fabric, a Stedair® bi-component ePTFE membrane, and a polyester knit backing. This multi-layer design combines comfort with effective protection against corrosive chemicals.

Breathable Barriers

At Stedfast, we Stedair® that protection should never come at the cost of comfort. Our Stedair® Chemical Protective Barriers are a testament to this philosophy. These chemical-proof, breathable barriers offer maximum protection without compromising on comfort. They're also flame and heat-resistant, demonstrating resilience against arc and flash fire hazards, all within the industry's lightest construction for superior comfort.
