Coated Fabric Solutions for Industrial Performance

Stedfast's engineered coated textiles protect personnel, transportation, hazardous chemicals, and equipment in the industry's most demanding environments. Our Research & Development and Technical Testing Lab drive new formulations for existing and emerging markets, using Polyurethane, Neoprene, CSM (Hypalon®), SBR, EPDM, Nitrile, Natural Rubber, and Butyl Rubber, for flame-retardant and non-flame-retardant applications alike.

Solutions

Stedfast develops complex polymer formulations using Polyurethane, Chloroprene/Neoprene, Chlorosulfonated Polyethylene (CSM, formerly Hypalon), SBR, EPDM, Nitrile, Natural Rubber, and Butyl Rubber, for both flame-retardant and non-flame-retardant applications. Each formulation is engineered to match the specific chemical, thermal, and mechanical demands of the application it's built for.

Featured Markets

Flexible Duct Connectors – Vibration Control

A rigid duct connection transmits every vibration from a fan or air handler straight down the line, and over time that stress cracks joints and loosens ductwork. Fabric connectors absorb that movement instead. Stedfast offers two proven flame-retardant fabrics, each engineered for airtight, flexible metal-to-fabric joints:

Stedprene® — Neoprene Coated Fiberglass

NFPA 701 certified and meeting ASTM E84 fire and flame requirements, StedPRENE resists low temperatures, withstands continuous use up to 200°F, and stands up to chemical exposure. Available in two weights (StedPRENE 369 and 352) for HVAC duct connectors, gaskets, and airline industry vehicle applications.

Stedlon-V26® — CSM (Hypalon®) Coated Fiberglass

NFPA 701-certified and meeting ASTM E84, Stedlon-V26 offers superior resistance to weathering, ozone, and UV for outdoor installations, with the same airtight metal-to-fabric bond that reduces noise and isolates vibration.

AI Data Centers & Robotics

AI computer density has pushed data center cooling loads far beyond what traditional HVAC design accounted for, resulting in more air-handling equipment, more ductwork, and more vibration to isolate. That's a direct extension of a market Stedfast already serves — we're actively developing formulations suited to the scale and thermal demands of this sector.

Roofing Replacement Membranes

Stedfast Butyl Membrane (SBM) delivers a roofing life expectancy equal to that of the building it protects, resisting weathering, chemical exposure, and corrosion, and operates over a service range of -65°F to +250°F. For flashing and hot- or cold-applied transitions, Stedfast Roofing Membrane (EPDM/SBR with polyester scrim reinforcement) provides superior tensile and tear strength for high-stress applications.

Fuel & Liquid Cell Bladders

Chemical-resistant coated textiles engineered for structural integrity in fuel storage, transport, and containment applications. Stedfast's polyurethane and nitrile-based systems are formulated to resist fuel, oils, and solvents while maintaining structural integrity under pressure and repeated flexing.

Gaskets, Rubber Sealings & Diaphragms (oil/gas, power generation)

Diaphragm material has the tightest thickness tolerances in the rubber industry because a few thousandths of an inch of variance can change how a valve or pressure regulator responds. Stedfast's fabric-reinforced rubber is engineered to hold that precision through repeated flexing and chemical exposure in oil, gas, and power generation environments.

Radome Satellite Dish Covers

A radome has to do two contradictory things at once: physically shield sensitive antenna equipment and stay essentially invisible to the radio frequencies passing through it. Stedfast's coated textiles are engineered for that balance — durable enough to withstand years outdoors, dimensionally stable enough to maintain precise tolerances, and RF-transparent enough not to interfere with the signal beneath.
