Breathable vs. Rubberized

In order to satisfy the vast and varied needs of the industrial market, Stedfast has developed breathable and non-breathable arc protective rainwear. Our rubber coated barriers meet and exceed HRC level 2 arc ratings as per NFPA 70E, thus providing end users with excellent protection and a high level of performance. These coated products are designed to also provide protection from any chemical penetration as well as hydrocarbon contamination. Flame resistant substrates can be coated with PVCs, urthanes or neoprenes.

STEDPRENE® 341 consists of a neoprene coated Nomex IIIA substrate for arc protective barriers that shields against elements and arc hazards (HRC 2) while providing end user with added chemical protection. Our line of neoprene products are abrasion resistant, flame resistant and resist to UV degradation.

STEDCOVER® 506 consists of a PVC coated DuPont™ Nomex® E89™ non-woven that provides protection as per NFPA 70 (HRC 2). This lightweight, flexible barrier protects from basic elements and is highly flame resistant.
